SCE Easter Egg Hunt

After the race last Sunday, we went to the amenity center in our neighborhood for their Easter party. It was still beautiful & sunny outside, but really windy & chilly so luckily the girls weren't the only ones not in their cute Easter outfits. The girls still had their exercise clothes on from the race :)

As soon as we got there, they played on the play ground & we waited by the bunny patch where the egg hunts were going to be. We saw our friends right away so Sadie & Kenzie were inseparable. Somehow I didn't manage to get a single picture of her brother, KJ?!

They anxiously waited behind the white picket fence until it was their time. Sophie's age group went first & this time she knew what to do:

Sadie was hilarious. She wanted to help so bad but we made her stand behind the fence & let the little ones do it by themselves. She was yelling at Sophie just like a coach "Go Sophie - Hurry, get the eggs! There's one on the right!" It was hilarious!

We had to wait for them to restock the bunny patch for the next group of kids & while we waited we found a few girls from their soccer team:

Sophie kept photobombing their pictures:

Then it was finally Sadie's turn! She was so fast - in fact, her soccer coach kept laughing at how fast she was but that girl stocked up on the eggs:

When they finished hunting, we went to check everything else out. They had snacks, toddler games, a petting zoo, a snow cone truck & face painting:

Sadie always wants to get her face painted but the lines are usually too long. This time she was able to get one pretty quickly & of course her friend Kenzie got one also:

Of course we asked Sophie & she said no. Not really surprised since she says no to everything. The one thing she didn't say no to? A snow cone! Even though it was pretty chilly out there, they still wanted a snow cone:

Here they are sitting with our neighbors Kiley, Presley & Bentley.

Finally, we went to visit the Easter Bunny but you can see how that went:

We couldn't get a picture of just the girls so we had to join them & that still didn't calm her down!

It was a beautiful day & we enjoyed being outside & visiting with all of our friends & neighbors. We were fortunate that 7 years ago we lucked into buying our home in a great neighborhood. They always do great parties for each of the holidays & really try to encourage a friendly spirit amongst neighbors. Plus it helps they spoil the kids:

I swear the candy is never ending in our house. By the time we finish it off from one holiday, the next one is upon us!
