Sadie had her first Christmas party & program at school this week. Technically they had parties on the Sonshine School side but the parents weren't invited, so I was just as excited to go up there as she was to for me to come! When I first got there, they were eating Christmas cookies & then they did a craft:
Next they had an interactive story time about the nativity & Jesus's birth:
They also played a game - pin the carrot nose on Olaf! Sadie might have cheated a little because she had her eyes closed & was heading towards the side & then she re-directed herself & magically pinned it in the correct spot:
Before the parents left, all of the students gave their parents a Christmas gift & I could not love it anymore:
It's already propped on my desk so I can enjoy it while I work :)
After the party, we headed to the auditorium where the 3 year olds performed. They sang Go Tell It On The Mountain & We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Actually, they sang a 3rd song but I can't remember what it is now. They were so cute! They danced & had sign language to go with it. Sadie was on the front row right by her best friend Ellie:
Bryan taped their performance & I took pictures, but honestly, her hair is so blonde & with the bright lights, she kind of looks blurry. She was a little shy at first & sang but forgot to do the sign language but by the second verse she had it down.
After the show, she wanted to take pictures with her friend:
I tried to take pictures with some of her other friends but she didn't want to. She was anxious to go get Sophie & or course she wanted pictures with her, but you know how that went:
So proud of our little performer! And what a fun way to celebrate the Christmas season. Can't wait until Sophie is old enough to participate!
