Hugs & Photos

The girls looked cute in some of their fall outfits for school last week so I asked if I could take a picture & here was our timeline of events:

 

I've mentioned it on here before, but I have discovered a pattern. I ask the girls for pictures & they chose a spot, meaning Sadie chooses a spot & decides whether they will sit or stand. Sadie always smiles & cheeses it up & Sophie stares at me. I start saying Sophie's name & asking her to smile, so Sadie tries to hug her & encourages her to smile too, the problem is that her hug looks like this:

 



 

And now every picture looks like Sadie has Sophie is a death grip :(

Now neither one of them are looking at the camera or smiling!

 

After I tell them we're finished, Sadie says let's try again:

 

 

And we go through the process all over again. Poor Sophie! No wonder I can't get her to smile in any pictures these days :)

 

That ladies & gentlemen is why I have not hired a photographer recently. I keep hoping Sophie will grow out of this phase & actually sit still long enough with a smile to capture the moment. And it would be even better if she would do it on a beach......
