Magic Kingdom, Day 1

Monday was our first full day at Disney & we decided to go to Magic Kingdom since that is the heart of Disney World & where the castle is. Because honestly, that's what Sadie has been talking about :) The park opened at 9:00, but they had extra magic hours for resort guests & we got to go an hour earlier. It was worth getting there early because we got so much done that first day. Of course we had to take our obligatory family photos with the castle as soon as we walked in:

Jessica & I ordered Mickey Mouse shirts with bow ties for the boys & Minnie Mouse shirts with bows for the girls. We even surprised Grammy & Grandpa with shirts too!

The first thing we did was walk to Fantasyland to visit some of the characters. We did Fast Passes for most of the rides but we were hoping to catch the princesses before the lines got long & it was a good idea because we were able to catch most of them:

You can tell the first princess we visited was Rapunzel & Sadie was in heaven! Next, we visited Cinderella:

We visited both of them while Bryan stood in line to meet Anna & Elsa:

I specifically wanted a picture of Bryan with the girls & Anna because they sing her song & dance to it all the time. We are so lucky to have a dad who loves princesses as much as his daughters :) Finally, the big moment came for Sadie to meet Elsa:

She was star struck! She smiled & was so excited to meet all of the other princesses but the moment she met Elsa, she froze! But we took several pictures since Queen Elsa is her favorite:

Once we finally met all of the princesses at Fairy Princess Hall, we took off on rides. The very first ride my girls rode at Disney was the carousel. Go figure!

I'm going to apologize now because I have never taken so many selfies in my life! The girls rode every ride that they were tall enough & I am proud to say that neither girl got scared. I hate to bore you with what ride is what, so I will just post them all here & maybe you can figure it out:

We tried to take turns riding with everyone. Sometimes the kids could sit by themselves & sometimes we had to take turns with an adult. Kaitlyn got to go with her parents & do more since she was taller, but we tried to hang out with her as much as possible because Sadie loved being with her. The only ride I will specifically mention is the Barnstormer. It is a small roller coaster ride & it is officially the first roller coaster Sadie has even ridden. I could tell she was a little scared, but she was determined:

She loved it so much that she went back & rode it again later in the week with her dad!

That afternoon we took a break from rides to catch the parade. The girls loved it:

Sophie kept waving at everyone & Sadie screamed when she saw Elsa & Anna:

After the parade, we met up with the rest of our family at Belle's cottage so we could have story time with her:

Afterwards, we headed to Beast's castle for dinner:

We even met Beast after we ate:

After dinner everyone headed back to the hotel except for our family. We stayed at the park until they kicked us out at 7:00! Our first day was great & we tackled most of Magic Kingdom. Thank goodness we had a park hopper because this was not the only time we visited - we may have gone back 3 more times!
