We have been pretty lucky because it rained a lot this spring & early summer so the temperatures have stayed cooler, but I think the hot part of summer is officially upon us. This morning the 7 day forecast showed 100+ every day with no rain in sight :( And I have to admit that this was the first week I could actually feel the heat & did not enjoy it. Because of that, we had friends over to swim twice. Harlow & her little sister Emmy came on Monday:
A few days later we invited Ellie & her brother Ethan. Ellis is Sadie's best friend from Sonshine School & we have heard her name for the past 2 years. She hadn't really seen her this summer so she was extra excited when she showed up:
Their little sister Faith came also, but she slept in the car seat most of the time & I forgot to get a picture of her. I am so impressed with all of our mommy friends who still venture out with their toddlers & young infants :)
Sadie went to camp again but we had to skip the movies this week because I sold a house this month & the girls had to go to the title company with me for the closing appointment. Thank goodness I only sale a couple of houses a year because it is hard to find babysitting during the day, but the girls did good. Sadie sat there quietly & colored while the paperwork was signed & they gave her some m&m's afterwards for being so good:
I didn't get a picture of Sophie because she was crawling around under the conference table :(
Sadie also got a new princess dress this week so Ariel has graced us with her presence most of the time:
We usually go for walks after dinner but they have become unbearable. First of all, it is so hot & no one is outside. The last time we went, Sadie actually took off her helmet & threw down her scooter & said she couldn't handle it anymore. So the next night we took the girls to Chick Fil A. Last time Bryan took them, he didn't have time to get dessert, so he kept their toys & we exchanged them for ice cream:
Is it bad that we ate dinner at home then went up there for free dessert & play time inside:
I'm not gonna lie, it was way better that our usual walk outside :)
