We Survived Our First Official Week of Summer!

I'm not gonna lie, as soon as everything slows down, I get nervous about summer. We have some plans, but I still feel like it's a long couple of months where I may be stuck at home with the girls while it's really hot outside. And I have to plan our play dates since we don't have school or MOPS on a regular basis but this week was pretty unscheduled & we managed to have a lot of fun!

After Relay for Life, we enjoyed the rest of the weekend with my family. I didn't really take any pictures most of the weekend, but I found these on my phone:

My mom bought all of the kids hula hoops for this summer & Aunt Natalie was showing them how to rock it. Hula Hoop Party!!

I also made home made chocolate chip cookies while they were here & Sophie got to have her first one. Can you tell she liked it?

I had a meeting one night so Bryan took the girls on a date to Chick Fil A & he sent me this picture:

He said it was the first time he had to buy both of them a kids meal because Sophie eats so much now :)

We made grape popsicles one day:

while Sophie threw a tantrum:

She wanted to climb up on Sadie's stool & kept trying to push her off, but there wasn't room for both of them & Sophie was too little to help with the popsicles. Later that evening everyone was happy when we got to enjoy our frozen treats:

If you can't tell from the picture, they are actually ring pop popsicles. They are the cutest little things - the perfect size for my girls. And who would have thought combining ring pops & popsicles - genius!

We invited friends over for our first pool play date:

This was the first time Sophie sat at the picnic table with the big kids & not in her high chair:

It was also the first time we swam in the pool without heating it. Now that it finally stopped raining, the sun has been out consistently & the temperatures are quickly rising:

It was also the first time we filled the water table & Sophie loved it!

She plays with it all the time but we hadn't filled it with water yet so she enjoyed it even more!

This weekend we have more company coming to town & the weather is supposed to be perfect, so I hope we get to spend all weekend in the back yard!
