Sophie's 18th Month Check Up

Sophie actually turned 1 1/2 years old last week & she had her 18 month check up today. I realized I hadn't written about her in a while, so I thought I would do a quick update since not much has changed. She is still smaller than average, but not too tiny:

She is wearing 12-18 month clothing, but it is actually a little big on her so I think it will definitely last all summer. She is still in a size 4 diaper & I think her shoe size is a 3. She has tiny feet! Here are her stats:

Weight: 22.03 lbs., 41%
Length: 31.5", 38%

She is still my champion sleeper. She sleeps about 13 hours every night (completely uninterrupted!) & she still takes 1 nap every afternoon, the same time as Sadie. She sleep on average 3 hours, but sometimes she goes 3 1/2 hours:

She loves food & she eats a lot. Sometimes, she even eats more that Sadie. We literally have to cut off her meals or she would eat without stopping! She likes most things, except fruit & vegetables. Of course. Sadie always loved fruit but Sophie is a little pickier. She is still managing a completely normal diet & she drinks whole milk & water exclusively, but she still takes medicine to help her digestive system work properly.

She speaks pretty good & repeats quite a bit. Other than that, she signs a few things (eat, milk, more, all done) & communicates well by pointing or responding to commands. She still seems a little wobbly on her feet but she has been walking for over a month now. She is very mischievous - Bryan likes to say that she is our little explorer because she likes to get into everything. She goes to other people pretty good but she will let you know when she doesn't get her way. Luckily she doesn't hit or bite, but the girl knows how to throw a tantrum! I told her pediatrician that I am surprised she hasn't gotten a concussion yet from beating her head on the hard wood floors! But if you ignore her, she usually gets up after 30 seconds or so when she realizes that she isn't getting attention & she goes on her happy way. I can already tell she is going to be drama:

We are taking her on vacation soon & I can't wait to see her at the beach. She has been a couple of times, but she was too young to remember, so I can't wait to see her expression when she feels the sand & the waves on her feet. Hopefully her big sister Sadie will help her along the way :)
