Bryan had to attend a conference last week in San Antonio so the girls & I thought we would tag along for a quick get away. Sadie thinks flying in an airplane is the coolest thing ever & I loved that we were literally on the plane less than an hour:
This was them waiting in line for our turn to get on the plane. He stayed at one of the hotels on the Riverwalk & I couldn't help but laugh as soon as we walked in:
We travel quite a bit & I am used to seeing luggage, but not used to seeing all of the cowboy hats sitting on top of the luggage!
Bryan had to go to meetings most of the time, but we got to see him occasionally. I did the usual & packed breakfast for us so we started our days with breakfast in bed:
Love their crazy hair in the morning! We spent most of the time walking the Riverwalk:
& exploring the city. The Alamo was really close so we went their twice. For some reason Sadie thought the Alamo was really cool & talked about it a lot:
Obviously we didn't spent a lot of time there, we just walked around & looked at everything. She liked walking the gardens inside & kept wanting to throw money in this fountain so she could make a wish:
Sophie must have gotten jealous because I didn't give her a coin, so she decided to throw her sippy cup in to the river:
This poor man tried so hard to reach it & he couldn't, so he went & found a janitor who was able to help us. I am telling you, the things this girl does......
Since we flew, we were stuck on the Riverwalk for 3 days with no car & there is only so many times you can visit the Alamo & look at the river, so I had to get creative. I found a playground inside the RiverCenter Mall & we may have visited it a few times:
It was a quick trip & we had fun since this was a new part of San Antonio we hadn't explored together as a family, but to be honest, I really got bored being there for 3 days. Next time, I would make sure we only spend 1 day down there & then I would drive over to Sea World.
Of course these girls went non-stoop the entire time we were there with hardly any naps & later bedtimes, so they crashed on the way home Friday night:
These 2 refuse to sleep on the plane, but could hardly hold their heads up when stuck in traffic in Dallas. Thank goodness they got a power nap in because as soon as we landed, we headed to a graduation party with family.
