Frozen on Ice

As much as I love visiting with my family, the real reason for our trip to Houston was to see Elsa & Anna:

 

In case you didn't know, Sadie is obsessed with Frozen, specifically Elsa. My Mom bought tickets months ago to take all of her grand kids & we have been waiting patiently. She even bought the girls new Elsa dresses that have capes. I decided Sophie was a little too young to make her sit through a 2 hour show, so we left her at home with a babysitter but it made it more fun for me since I get to spend more time with Sadie & actually enjoy the show without a little one distracting me:

 

 

Even Kason was excited - he may not be into princesses, but he likes Olaf, Kristoff & Sven:

 

 

Even Max joined us & I think enjoyed it too. He really paid attention when they started singing. You know me, I went a little crazy & took pictures of everyone because we were having so much fun:

 

 

I love that first picture of Kason hugging Sadie & wish his eyes weren't closed but it was the only one I had :( My mom got pretty good tickets directly in front of the ice so the view was really good. Max had a handicap spot with one extra seat by him & then we had a row in front of him with 5 extra seats. It kind of worked out perfectly because the kids went back & forth & got to sit by each other when they weren't dancing :)

 

I think Bryan might have been a little jealous that he didn't get to go because we are so Frozen obsessed at our house, so I tried to take some picture & videos for him:

 

 

I knot you can't tell, but that is technically the ice castle and Elsa & Anna are standing on top of it. I was pretty impressed with how they told the story using props & fireworks. Here are a few more characters you may recognize:

 

 

That top picture is Kristoff & Sven while the bottom picture is Kristoff, Olaf & Anna with the Snow Monster! After the show, the rest of the Disney characters came out:

 

 

which was pretty exciting since our whole family is obsessed with Mickey & the gang, Toy Story & princesses!

 

 This was our first experience with Disney on Ice & we loved it! I can't wait to take Sophie & Bryan next time because they would have enjoyed it too. Thank you Mimi for spoiling your grand kids - this was such a special experience for all of them & I'm glad they got to share it with you:
