Yo Gabba Gabba

Bryan & I surprised Sadie over Thanksgiving weekend & took her to her first concert:

 

Since we were staying at his parents' house we left Sophie with them. We wanted to make it a special date night for Sadie & it worked equally well for his parents since they got to spend some quality time with just Sophie. But you can tell our girls are used to being together because Sadie was confused & kept asking where Sophie was. She quickly got over it once we took her to dinner because her dad surprised her with juice in a big girl cup:

 

 

After dinner we headed to the concert. I have definitely never been to a concert like this. It was full of families & little kids running around everywhere. They passed out glow rings when we walked in & we got to take photos with different backgrounds from the show:

 

 

It was a black light so the picture kind of turned out funny. Once we found our seats we anxiously waited. Sadie didn't quite understand what she was waiting for:

 

 

 

Finally, they appeared:

 

 

For those of you who don't know, Yo Gabba Gabba is a show that plays on Nick Jr. We have never really watched the show, but they always play their music videos during the commercials between the shows. They just sing songs & dance around, which is perfect for Sadie. She sang, danced, twirled & jumped all night. In fact, most of my pictures look blurry because she was moving so much:

 

 

At intermission, Bryan spoiled her & let her get some popcorn:

 

 

But the highlight of our night was at the very end. We all stormed the stage & Sadie got to touch DJ Lance's hand!

 

 

It was such a fun night & Sadie was so proud - she told everyone that she went to her first concert! She must follow in her mom's footsteps because I love music, but I have definitely never been to a concert like that before!
