Our friend Jamie invited us to the Plano Heritage Museum today for one of their monthly pre-school activities & today it was Turkey Talk. Sadie is obsessed with turkeys right now because I don't think she fully understood Thanksgiving last year so this year everything is gobble gobble!
As soon as we got there, Sadie remembered coming before because she said "hay ride!". Well, she was right. We came last year & they did go on a hay ride. Today we did the same thing, but it was more like a tractor ride:
Next, the children learned how to grind corn:
so they could feed the turkeys:
Then they had to plant some corn so they would have food for next year:
They also go to participate in a turkey craft:
We also enjoyed a story about a family of turkeys & the kids got to go on a turkey hunt. They really liked the hunt but I think I was too busy talking to take pictures :) Sadie has definitely learned a lot about turkeys this year but honestly, I think she is ready to skip Thanksgiving & go straight to Christmas but the kids were talking about Santa Clause the entire time.
