Deck the Halls

We had no plans on Saturday & since it was raining outside & Christmas is only a month away, I talked Bryan into decorating the house:

I just love sitting around the house looking at all of the twinkly lights this time of year! Bryan is a great helper because we have 9 trees & he puts them all up for me. I know, I am a bit tree obsessed! Granted, some of those are smaller ones & 2 go on the front porch. Every year I try to buy something new to add to our collection & this year is was a tree skirt for our longhorn tree:

We actually put this up in Bryan's office. I always joke that it is the most expensive tree in the house because we found some beautiful UT ornaments that were a little pricey. We have never had a tree skirt that matches, so earlier this year I had one made. We picked each of the fabrics & trim & then had it made & it turned out beautifully!

You know me - I had to throw a little cheetah print in there with the burnt orange! If anyone needs a good seamstress, I have one in Frisco for you!

Of course the girls had fun helping out. Sophie absolutely loved crawling around to see what she could find as we were getting everything out:

And Sadie loved decorating the tree in her room:

She was so proud of her tree!

But she must have gotten bored because we asked her to help with Sophie's tree & she was over it, so I had to decorate it instead. Sophie was mesmerized!

It feels good to have it all decorated so now I can sit back & enjoy it with my family. Too bad all of the Christmas gifts won't magically wrap themselves!
