Since we got home from vacation, life has quickly returned back to normal. One of the highlights from our return trip was a birthday party. Our neighbor across the street, Hadley, turned 5 & she was so sweet to invite Sadie to her party. She had a Doc McStuffins pool party & most of the kids were her age, so Sadie felt like a big girl tagging along :)
When she first got there, they had a waiting room set up where the kids could take turns playing doctor & they got to stuff their own animal & put band aids on it:
Then Sadie got to play her first game of "pin the tail on the donkey" but in this case it was on Doc:
I was impressed she did so good! The rest of the party was spent outside swimming in the pool & jumping on the trampoline. She was quite proud of herself in the pool showing off her skills since she had a lot of practice on vacation. She probably had a little too much confidence & kept trying to swim to the deep end with the other kids!
Finally, they celebrated Hadley with cake & ice cream:
Sadie was so fascinated by the pool, that she didn't want to eat. She took a few bites & then left her plate behind, so I might have finished it for her!
The day of the party was also Bryan's birthday so we snuck him home a birthday treat:
The cupcake might have looked a little girlie, but that didn't stop him from indulging it!
