VBS 2014: Agency D3

The girls & I have had a busy week because we have been at vacation bible school every day! It started on Monday & ended today & somehow we survived but I am pretty sure my girls are tired. VBS was from 9:00 - 12:30, but I helped in the pre-school so we had to be there from 8:00 - 1:00. Normally my girls don't wake up until 8:30 or 9:00, so having to be there at 8:00 was a big adjustment! The theme was Agency D3 & the whole week was about being a special agent. The church looked great & was decorated with footprints & magnifying glasses everywhere along with security at the entrance:

Sadie had a blast getting to spend extra time with her friends. This is the same church where we go to MOPS & Sonshine School, so she just loves being there. I tried to sneak in & get an action shot of her:

I actually saw her quite a bit since I was helping on the pre-school side. She enjoyed music class, crafts, playing outside & all of the yummy snacks & lunch that they got :) She even came home talking about Jesus today, which is the first I have really heard her do.

And technically Sophie is too young for VBS, but she got to go to the nursery. This was the first time I really dropped her off anywhere & she did amazing! I would wake her up early in the morning, get her ready & then put her straight in her car seat. Somehow she was as happy as she could be every morning & never got fussy, so they were able to feed her morning bottle when we got there. Then she would play, swing & nap until it was time for me to come get here. She even made it without a second bottle so I could feed her lunch when we got home. This girl is a trooper! I snuck in to her room also to get an action shot & this is what I found:

She had gotten a little fussy so they took her for a walk & she fell asleep. Apparently it was cold in the nursery so they kept putting socks on her & covering her with a blanket. I didn't really have any warm clothes for her since it's summer!

When I snuck back in a little later, she was all smiles:

We really had a great time this week & it is a free way to entertain your children during the summer. We just love First Baptist & I enjoyed visiting with all of the other moms & volunteers because I know most of them from pre-school & MOPS. These two had so much fun I had a hard time getting them to go home for nap time every day:

We did come home with lots of goodies though. Sadie came home with her briefcase full of supplies any good special agent needs such as binoculars, a passport, hand prints, foot prints, magnifying glasses, etc.

Not to brag, but I think I have the cutest special agents ever!

  1. We attended FBC frisco during our stay there and we loved it! I hated to leave the church and my inlaws have started going there just recently! :)
