Ten years ago on this very morning I woke up excited & nervous all at the same time. It was the day I was getting married! Bryan & I were reliving those moments yesterday. He spent the day before the wedding golfing with the guys while I had a bridal brunch with my family & friends followed by manis & pedis!
Later that night, we were both late to the rehearsal at the church (dang Friday afternoon traffic!) & then we enjoyed our rehearsal dinner visiting with family & friends at the country club. It seems like only yesterday!
And ten years ago this morning I was getting ready for one of the biggest days of my life:
I hate to admit that I don't have very many digital pictures of our wedding because digital wasn't as popular back then. But I still have the wedding album with every single proof in hard copy form! Thankfully Bryan talked me into hiring a videographer & it was worth the money! I have a horrible memory, so I enjoy watching it from time to time.
I think this last picture pretty much sums it up. Even though I don't recall every detail about that day, I do remember being surrounded by all of our family & friends & it being one of the best parties we have ever been to! There was so much love, joy & laughter & most of those people are still part of our lives today. We have both been blessed with wonderful jobs, we moved 3 times, we have done a lot of traveling, been to a lot of Longhorn football games (including the National Championship with Vince Young!) & most importantly we had 2 daughters. Our family now feels complete & even though we have done so much together in the past 10 years, I know we have so much more ahead of us.
Bryan - thank you for being my best friend & partner in life. You are an amazing husband & an even better father & I love you more than you will ever know.
