We had a very laid back & relaxing weekend. In fact, it was so relaxing that I kind of got a little bit bored from not having much going on! We actually stayed home Friday night & cooked dinner (which is rare because after cooking all week I usually want to go out to eat on Friday night!) because Sadie was having so much fun playing outside.
Saturday morning we had a babysitter while Bryan & I met up with our small group from church. In honor of Earth Day, the City of Frisco had clean up events going on all around town. We volunteered to clean up litter in a field next to some fast food restaurants & Walmart. Needless to say there was a lot of fast food trash & plastic bags!
And it was the first time we left both of the girls with a babysitter instead of family. We were only gone a few hours mid-morning, so I figured it was a good time for one of our high school neighbors to practice :)
Sadie also got spoiled this weekend with a new toy:
I know, like she needs another car! Actually, it's kind of a long story, but someone bought the girls a present when Sophie was born & it was something that we had to return, but since we had a pretty big merchandise credit, we decided to use it to buy something that both of the girls could benefit from. Now we have the car that you ride in (which will work for Sophie later this summer) & the car that you can wheel yourself around in (which is perfect for Sadie, since she is Miss Independent!).
I feel like we spent most of the weekend outside since the weather was absolutely perfect. You have to take advantage of it now before it gets crazy hot! I did some yard work, Bryan & I both went for an afternoon run & we spent a lot of time hanging out with our neighbors. FISD didn't have school today, so we let the girls stay up a little later last night since all of the other kids were outside. She was hanging out with the older boys while they were playing basketball, so Todd taught Sadie how to dunk a basketball & she loved it!
She would even stick out her tongue & lift up her legs like she was showing off!
It was hilarious! Even the boys liked it! I think they are all protective of her like she is their little sister :)
