This past weekend we finally had time to head outside & start doing a little spring cleaning. Last year we tackled our garages & got them really organized, but they got a little messy over the winter. Not bad, but we still had Christmas presents & Christmas boxes that needed to be unpacked & recycled. Plus, I had to dust off everything & bring it back out for summer. I now have 2 plant stands on the front porch - I just need to buy some plants :) We also pulled out all of Sadie's toys, including her favorite:
But she was even more excited when she saw this:
She got this for Christmas from her Grammy & Grandpa however this was one of the gifts that was sitting in a box in the garage :( I envision her sitting outside playing with her play dough, eating lunch & coloring this spring & summer. I also hope it helps when we have her friends over - now we have more room for them to sit.
I even got creative & did this:
I have had a garden flag stand outside my front door & we usually have a longhorn flag hanging, but I thought it would be fun to have multiple flags to switch out for the seasons & the holidays. I knew Sadie would have fun helping me hang them so my Mom bought me a bunch for Christmas. I had them sitting on a shelf, but I thought this way we could see them easier & Sadie can help me pick them out. Plus, it kind of looks like I decorated my garage - how fun!
Now if we can only tackle the yard & the flower beds. I have been waiting for the cooler weather to pass so we could freshen up our yard so I think that is my new project for the next few weeks!
