Since Sophie is 3 months old, I hate to admit this, but we finally had our first play date with Sadie's friends. We have seen her friends here & there for different events, but I guess our schedules have been crazy & this was the first time we were all able to get together for no reason at all except to let the kids play. You would think it would be perfect weather outside for the kids to play, but apparently, the weather hasn't figured out it's spring yet :( That's ok, because kids are resilient & they did just fine playing inside. Mia invited us over & I think we were there for over 4 hours because they kids were having so much fun! And it gave the moms lots of time to visit & catch up. And pass around Sophie:
Mia was so sweet & provided lunch for the kids & for us. Sadie, Byron & Tatum had a blast eating their lunchables & drinking their Capri Sun, but Jordan didn't want to participate so I had a hard time getting pictures with him:
And the girls were so cute together. They are like little best friends already :) It's so cute seeing them running around & laughing at each other. I told Jamie that I can't wait for them to have sleep overs with each other!
I was finally able to capture one picture of all of the kids while they were playing on the stairs, even Jordan!
At one point, Sadie wanted to hold her little sister so we let her sit on the couch & practice showing off her big sister skills. My friend Jamie is pregnant & due in a month so her kids were excited & wanted to practice holding the "baby" also:
I'm sure you can tell that Sophie didn't like to be passed around between the kids. That & she didn't nap as well as she usually does since we stayed over there for so long!
My favorite part of the day might have been when Carl came home because he was able to take a picture of all of us:
It's hard to imagine that this group has been getting together since the kids were babies & not only do we have one new addition to the group with Sophie, but another little girl will be joining us soon. I can't wait to see the kids' friendships blossom the older they get!
