Paradise Scooters

As part of our working vacation, Bryan & I went on an island tour with:

It is consistently ranked one of the top 2 things to do on the island according to Trip Advisor. Their biggest attraction is their Vespa scooters, so we took the all day guided tour of the island:

Neither of us have ever driven or ridden on one before, but it was a fun way to cruise around the island. We have technically already toured the island but it was fun to see everything again. They took us to the Conch Farm, which is the only one in the world. Yet again, we had already been there so I didn't really take any pictures. We stopped at a newer resort to learn some of the history of the island & I took a few scenic pictures there:

Next, we went to Long Bay Beach. It is windier on this side of the island so this is where all of the kite surfers hang out. It was pretty neat watching them but I prefer the other side of the island at Grace Bay since it is calm. This beach would have been a little too rough for Sadie.

Then we went to the south side of the island to a beautiful place called Chalk Sound:

The water over here is amazing! It is very serene on this side of the island & since it is mostly residential, it is not very crowded. And there aren't a whole lot of people who live over here because it is a little farther away. And the water is very shallow so there aren't any boats coming through here.

Finally, we stopped at an awesome little dive for lunch:

Yes, we had conch. That's what they serve everywhere on the island! Last time we ate at the Conch Shack, but this was so much better. The food was delicious & the view was out of this world. It looked like something in a beer commercial because they had tables in the water where you could sit & eat.

Here was our group. We got to eat in an abandoned boat that shipwrecked on the beach :)

You can't really tell because they turned it into a table.

Finally, here are our tour guides: Rosa & BJ:

Rosa was our tour guide & she led the group while BJ followed us from behind. He is actually a volunteer firefighter on the island so he was able to help direct traffic since they have some crazy driving going on in the island, especially at all of their roundabouts. We kept joking that we were the scooter gang. I am sure we looked very dangerous!

For those who have never ridden a scooter, it was fun & we enjoyed touring the island with the ocean breeze blowing through our hair. I would definitely recommend Paradise Scooters should anyone decide to visit Provo & if you do, let me know because we can recommend some awesome restaurants!
