Practice Makes Perfect

So last week I blogged about Sadie's favorite hobby, planking and how she didn't like chunky food. Well a lot has changed since then....... Bryan came home from his business trip on Friday & I guess she wanted to show off because as soon as he got home that afternoon, she impressed us both by crawling forward! And she continued to do it all weekend. She may be moving a little slow, but she can definitely make it across her bedroom by herself now! Don't worry, since I am a first time Mom I am already baby proofing the house. I went to the store this weekend & bough enough electrical outlet covers to protect the whole house! They are so cheap that it's worth the peace of mind. I am also doing some research for baby gates because we have 2 stair cases & I need them at the top & bottom. I know she can't tackle the stairs just yet, but I have a feeling those will be next on her list!

And she is eating much better. I have fed her those "yummy" meals in a jar every night since our bad experience & she now eats them like normal. She never cried after the first time, but it still takes her longer to eat it & you can tell that she in thinking about it. She's not quite in love with them yet, but at least she is eating them. Who knew that babies could have spaghetti, lasagna, turkey, etc. with no teeth? Snack time is getting better, but she's still not excited about it. I gave her 5 cheerios this morning & she picked all 5 up individually & fed them to herself. She used to just play with them, but now she at least realizes that they are for her to eat. She still makes funny faces eating them & I guess for now I should be grateful because before long she will be wanting to eat snacks all the time & won't want to eat her meals!

Speaking of eating, Sadie had a lunch date with her friend Jackson today. We haven't seen him in a few months & he has gotten a lot bigger. They both have, I guess! It was fun watching them - they didn't interact much, but every now & then they would look at each other & smile or attempt a conversation that neither one of the adults understood.....
