6 Months Old

Can you believe it? Sadie turned 6 months old on Friday. I can't believe how much she has grown & has far developed she has become! She has such a great personality & she is a lot of fun to be around. She is no longer a newborn baby - instead she is very active & super attentive! She can roll all 4 directions now (from her tummy & back both ways) so she is all over her crib at nap time. She kind of sleeps on her side now at night - it's kind of weird, but I guess that's how she is comfortable. She can sit really good. We have been practicing that for the past month & she started out pretty wobbly, but now I don't even try to time her or count because she can sit up by herself for so long. She started talking in a really sweet girly voice about 2 weeks ago - I love hearing it come across the monitor when she wakes up :) I took a couple of pictures on Friday that I think fully demonstrate her personality these days:

She constantly has her feet in her hands, especially when she is supposed to be holding her bottle or when I am trying to change her diaper.

Everything goes straight to the mouth! I thought she was starting to teeth because she has been drooling for about a month now & she gnaws on everything. But her doctor said her gums still feel pretty thick so she thinks it will probably be another month or so.

Speaking of doctor, we went to her 6 month check up today. She got a few shots & they really bothered her. Probably the worst I have ever heard her scream :( Other than that we learned that she is moving right along & growing strong!

In case you can't tell from the picture, she loves sitting by herself & she is mesmerized by the paper on the doctor's table! Her stats show that she is still a little short, but is definitely catching up in the weight department. I think that was a little obvious with the rolls she has going on!

Guess that explains why she is still wearing 3-6 month clothes & a size 2 diaper. The good news is that she has worn her clothes a lot longer than I ever expected, but the bad news is that I feel like she is always wearing the same thing!
