Last Thursday we loaded up the car to head out of town again - back to Lubbock, but this time we didn't make it that far before this happened:
That's right - we had a blow out on the toll road. And of course we had to unload the whole car to reach the spare tire. On top of that, there was a horrible cold front blowing through with high winds & rain. Luckily, the nice man from NTTA let me, Sadie & Daisy sit in his truck while him & Bryan fixed the tire. An hour or two later, we were back on the road, however, we got to Lubbock late & missed most of Kason's birthday party. He turned 3 & he had a sports party to celebrate with all of his friends. Even though Sadie was late to her first birthday party, she still arrived in style:
This adorable little outfit was given to us from Aunt Natalie & it is too precious! She had the onesie made & she found baby leg warmers to match :) I know technically Kason is a Red Raider fan, but she was trying to fit in with sports apparel & Longhorn is all she has! Sorry I don't have any pictures of the party since we got there so late, but my sister did a great job decorating the house. Sadie had a fun time playing with her cousin Max & Kason was super sweet to her when she finally got there.
On Friday, we had another birthday party that was for family only. This time we celebrated Kason, Max & Daniel's birthdays. My Mama had a good time getting to see Sadie & she got to feed her for the first time.
Finally, on Saturday we had a big party for Max. He technically turned one in January, but since he is home bound, there are a lot of people who haven't had the chance to meet him yet. Also, he was in & out of the hospital so much this winter, that they never had a chance to celebrate his first birthday. Natalie & I had fun setting up & decorating the party on Friday. His theme was a bug bash & the decorations were super cute! Plus the food was delicious - she had a cookie bar, a candy bar, a cupcake bar & plenty of milk for refreshments! I took a ton of pictures of all of the decorations, but I may divert you to her website. She takes better pictures than I & technically it's her party. Here are a few snapshots that I took with family & friends while we were there:
Thank you Clayton Family for hosting us this weekend & inviting us to all of your parties! Sadie is so grateful to have fun cousins who she will get to grow up with. Here's to many more birthday parties together......
