In case you haven't heard, this past weekend was the Red River Rivalry where Texas plays OU at the Cotton Bowl here in Dallas. Normally all of our friends come into town for this event & we make a weekend out of it. This year was no exception, however, it was a little more low key. Friday night all of our friends went to dinner, but Bryan & I stayed home since he was still recovering from chemo. On Saturday morning, we all went to the game together - everyone but Bryan & David. I felt really guilty about going, but Bryan wanted me to so I went & took my Dad. We had a fun time at the fair, although the game was a bit disappointing to say the least...... Our good friend David decided to skip the game & him & his son, Benjamin decided to hang out at our house & watch it with Bryan. Thanks Dave! His wife Adriana came to the game with us, but we told them if there was ever a year to miss the game, this was probably a good one :) Even though we got spanked, I think my Dad still had a fun time just getting to experience the atmosphere. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I took:
Later that night, everyone came to our house to hang out with Bryan & watch the Rangers game. Fortunately, the Rangers looked a lot better than the Longhorns! Josh & Joel went grocery shopping & prepared the meal and it was delicious as always! Here are a few pictures of our evening together:
We may not have a baby in the house yet, but we do have everything for one! Hailey found our stroller & she had a good time pushing "Baby Benjamin" around the house!
We love our Longhorn friends & enjoy seeing them often during football season! Guess we'll see them again next weekend when we all meet back in Austin!
