His first procedure was the bone marrow biopsy and the nurses were so sweet they took a picture for me! You will notice that he is still smiling and throwing up the Longhorn sign, which means this was right before the procedure actually took place :)
After the bone marrow biopsy, they installed his port. It was installed in his chest and the cord goes through a vein in his neck. It was installed under the skin, but it does stick out a little so you can see it. Apparently, they will use the port to draw blood or insert an IV for his chemotherapy. It really is a pretty cool little contraption. Bryan even has a bracelet he gets to wear & a little card he has to carry in his wallet that informs everyone about his port.
Anyway, here is a picture from the recovery room when they had finished both procedures:
Luckily, he is finished with appointments until next week. We will meet with the Oncologist on Monday to find out the results from all of his tests and then we will learn his treatment plan. Thank you Sherry & Robert (Bryan's parents) for coming with him to his appointments over the last few days. It has been nice to have someone help us out and have someone to visit with. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!
Bless you guys!! Wow, what a last couple of days, weeks even!! I remember you guys in my prayers often during the day. We're holding you up asking for God's healing hands to take this from you and provide for a quick recovery. Love, Louis and Dianna

So proud you both made it through these first difficult steps. We're praying for you both... for God's healing hand to be upon Bryan... and for a miracle... that he won't have to go through any of the chemo/radiation. May His annointing power be upon you, Bryan! If you do have to go through the treatments... we pray that you two stay strong... and stay each other's rocks. Bryan... can't say I'm digging the Longhorn signs... but I can forgive you! ;-) Keep smiling and keep fighting... the Lord is on your side! Shaye... stay strong and give him lots of hugs! and thanks for the updates. May He bless your marriage and may you grow closer together and closer to Him through all of this.
