Maui, Hawaii - Part 1

Aloha! We just returned from a 3-week vacation & boy do I have pictures to share! You know I love taking pictures and I have enough to blog every day for the next 2 weeks. Don't think I'm kidding! We kicked off our trip with a special family vacation in Maui with my family:

We flew in on a Tuesday to meet my parents & my sister's family who were already there to celebrate:

My parents' 50th wedding anniversary! We've had this trip planned for a while, so we were super excited. My parents are members of the Marriott Vacation Club, and they have spoiled us all with a few trips through the years:

We stayed in Kaanapali & even though we have visited this area, we had never stayed here before, and I really liked it! As soon as we checked in & were walking up to our hotel, we saw a rainbow:

I'll start with pictures of the property because it was beautiful!

This was the view from our balcony:

Bryan & I both woke up by 5:30 or 6:00 every morning because the sunrise was early and because of the time difference, so we enjoyed our early mornings:

We went for a walk or a run on the boardwalk every single day and then we hit up the gym. Not a bad view from the gym, huh?

We were pretty active the entire time we were there, but we did spend our first day there being lazy & enjoying the resort:

They had free snow cones every afternoon:

and we brought floats from home that we all took turns with:

Our first night there we went to dinner at Duke's & on our way we saw more rainbows:

The girls had just gotten home from camp, and they were all about pictures & had all these new poses they were showing dad:

Thursday morning, we woke up early & ready to zipline:

My mom stayed home with Max while Daniel & Kason went golfing:

We got to drive ATV's up the mountain & then we had 6 lines to cross:

My dad bought the picture package for us to share so we have tons of action shots:

Before we went down our last line, we walked across a hanging bridge:

We have ziplined several times, but this was one of my favorites!

When we got back that afternoon, we met up with everyone else & played bingo:

and we found the pink pong tables:

before going back out to the beach & the pool:

where we were surprised with a pool side hula show:

We ended the day at the resort when the guys grilled us some hamburgers for dinner:

followed by a beautiful sunset:

And that was just the first 2 days! Come back all week for some more aloha fun!
