October Life Lately

October was busy & the month flew by but I have a feeling that's just the beginning. This time of year is so fun but also gets so busy that it's over before we know it. We sprinkled in a lot of Halloween fun including a trip to our local pumpkin patch with Sophie & a friend:

She was also invited to a Halloween birthday party:

Our church had our annual fall festival, which they both attended with friends:

And speaking of church, the weather has been so nice that the youth group has been meeting outside:

Bryan & I snuck off to Vegas for a few days the week of Halloween & surprisingly, it wasn't decorated as much as I thought it would be:

He was there for a work conference, so it was just a fun get away for me. I got to meet them for dinner every night & I was so excited to take a picture at Prime because it was a clear night & the city was magical. However, it was crazy windy & in every picture you can see me & Bryan holding down my dress or my uncontrollable hair:

Randomly we ran into our friends parents at the airport. Such a small world!

While we were gone, the girls stayed with Bryan's mom & they carved pumpkins:

This was the first time we have not carved pumpkins with them, which makes me kind of sad, but we got home the night before Halloween and we usually put our pumpkins out for trick or treating so we wouldn't have had time. From what I head, Sadie did all of the work:

Sadie is really involved with K-Life and she got to go to her first progressive riot. They only sale 75 tickets & they sale out fast about a month before, but it is an all night adventure where we dropped them off at 7:00 pm & picked them up at 7:00 am! The entire night is a surprise but they are on buses so they go to different places throughout the night. They did everything from go kart racing to a ropes course to private access to the Roughriders baseball field during the middle of the night. She absolutely LOVED it and now Sophie can't wait to go when she is old enough:

At school, Sophie got to be a spirit captain for the first time:

She just finished the fall season of soccer & cheerleading, but volleyball is continuing:

Sadie & I went to the NCL junior fashion show, which was a lot of fun since we knew several of the juniors this year:

She finished volleyball & is continuing with cross country. She had her second meet when we were in Vegas & this time she got 11th:

These pictures just reinforce how little she is! Not muscle wise, but height wise.

And that's October! Except for Halloween - I will do a quick update on that soon!
