Last week the girls had spring break so we flew out to Colorado! We were meeting Tim & his family for lunch but since we got there early, we made a pit stop on the way to their house:
This was close to the base of Pike's Peak & we didn't have time to drive up there but when I saw these, I got excited because I remember going to cliff dwellings when I was younger. After explaining it to the girls, Sadie had learned about this in school so she was excited also:
It is a literal city built in to the side of the mountain! We had fun climbing, exploring & learning all about their native ancestries & how they lived back then:
They also had a few pueblo/adobe buildings that we got to explore with a museum & gift shop:
It was a beautiful day & perfect weather to get out & explore somewhere new!
