For the 5th season, Sophie's soccer team is back! They are still the Twinkle Toes but they got new uniforms this year & Bryan chose England. And apparently they were lucky uniforms because these girls started off the season with a bang:
There's actually a whole story that looking back is quite funny now, but these girls haven't really won much at all. Not only have they usually lost, but there were lots of games where they got killed. Come to find out, they have been playing in the top division for their age group & we had no clue. There are actually 3 divisions & we thought we were in the bottom, not the top! This year they figured it out & moved us down to the middle division where we were more competitively matched & guess what - they won! Not only did they win, but they had a shut out. They won 11-0 & Sophie scored 4 of those goals:
She did awesome! You can tell she has been watching her sister play :) But everyone else did good also - it's not like we had a ringer - almost every girl on the team scored a goal & we were so proud of all of them! Of course Sophie had her an extra cheerleader since Mimi was in town:
It was so hot out there but that didn't slow these girls down. We may have been that annoying team that cheered a little too hard because we were just so proud of our girls:
It has been a long 2 years for them to get to this point, but they have worked hard & maintained a great attitude through it all. Even if we don't win every game, I am just so excited to see these girls play in a more competitive league this season:
