Apparently in 1st grade, the kids get to have a Mother's Day tea. I had heard about it from my friends with older kids & then Sadie came home with an invitation so I was excited to have tea with both of my girls this year!
It was later in the day after I had already picked up Sophie from school so she got to go with me. And when we got there, we had surprises from her as well:
Look at those cute little flower pots! I was equally surprised to find one from Sophie also :)
The kids served us refreshments:
While we watched a slideshow:
Then they surprised us with a copy of our slide from the slideshow, which was another questionnaire from our children:
Finally we played a game. Each of the children drew a portrait of their mom & filled out another questionnaire about us, so their teacher read the questionnaire out loud, showed us the portrait we drew & we all had to guess who the mom was:
Their answers always make me laugh! I must have just cooked a big breakfast over the weekend because I thought it was funny that she said one of the best things I cook is an egg casserole :) And who knew one of my favorite things was going to the spa on the cruise. We don't even go on cruises very often!
It was a fun day & I truly loved getting to celebrate with both of my girls this year:
