Sadie's 7th Birthday

Last Saturday was Sadie's 7th birthday & unfortunately, we were in Vegas so we hopped on the early flight home so we could be here by lunchtime. Thankfully she was at her grandparents' house & they celebrated for us:

Even though I wasn't there, I made sure I had everything set up for her. She had specifically asked about our special plate, so I packed that. She requested cinnamon rolls for breakfast so I passed along the message. I even made sure Ellie had her birthday cupcake on & flew over to their house:

The girls got ready for the day before they headed out:

They had several birthday parties for friends that day. Sadie was pretty excited to go to a party at Chuck E Cheese:

Bryan & I got in right after lunch & we met up with the girls as quickly as we could. I took Sophie to another party while Bryan took Sadie to Crayola World. That was her one request for her birthday & since I have already been there, I thought it would be fun for him to go:

Kids get in free on their birthday! It's safe to say they had a great time because they were there for hours :) After, we met them for dinner at the restaurant of her choice - Babe's Chicken House! She even acted a little shy when they came to sing to her:

Eventually we made it home & she couldn't wait to open presents:

We let both of them open presents from their cousins from Colorado first:

Sophie was so excited to go shopping at Sadie's favorite store, Justice, to buy her some clothes:

She found 2 flip shirts that were basketball & she just knew that was what Sadie would want :)

We splurged & got Sadie something big this year:

This is not something she asked for or even something she knew she needed. But she has begged us to go to summer camp next summer so we had already signed her up. She knows about camp, but she did not know that most kids brings trunks to camp:

So we got her one! It's pretty cool & I hope this is something she will use every summer when she goes to camp. I had fun designing it & picking out all of the accessories on the inside. Unfortunately, they messed up the lid & put the wrong color but she didn't notice. Still can't believe our daughter is 7 years old now & is ready to go to overnight camp for the week. We have big plans to celebrate with her sister & her friends this weekend!
