July 4th 2017

I realize the holiday was a while ago but today is the first day I have gotten back on my computer in over 3 weeks. We just got home late Friday night/early Saturday morning from an 18 day trip to the Virgin Islands & we had an amazing time! I have taken over 400 pictures & I finally have them downloaded, edited & organized so I will be blogging all week. Let's just say that it was a busy couple of weeks with 6 airplanes, 8 taxis & 3 ferry rides just to get every where we were going. That does not include the multiple taxi rides we took while we were there. Oh yeah, & we spent a week on this:

We spent the first 10 days without kids while the girls stayed with their grandparents & then they joined us.

So back to July 4th, we spent the day with the girls before they headed to Bryan's parent's house. We gave them a few ideas & they wanted to go bowling:

This is the first time we have bowled since last summer & they definitely enjoyed it more now that they are older. In fact, we all had a good time:

After bowling we took the girls to lunch at Babe's Chicken House:

We figured we wouldn't have good old country cooking while we were on the islands. I totally missed this photo session but I found these photos on Bryan's phone:

We did some last minute shopping that afternoon & then Robert & Sherry came to pick the girls up. Unfortunately our flight was at 5:30 in the morning so we had to leave the house at 3:00 since it was an international flight. Let's just say we did not celebrate July 4th with fireworks this year but it was worth it to skip :)
