Weekend Wrap Up

The girls & I didn't have plans on Friday so I decided to make that our work day around the house. I knew this weekend was April 1 so I was ready to tackle all of my outside projects. We spent the morning at the nursery & the girls helped me pick out all of the flowers for our pots:

We were there for quite a while because I was asking questions & doing my research, so I bribed them with new gardening gloves & shovels so they could help me when we got home:

It was sunny & hot, so I worked all day until it was time for soccer practice. Sophie woke up from her nap & wanted to be a super hero so she went to practice & dinner afterwards like this:

Oh yeah, we did treat ourselves to ice cream also :)

The next morning the girls had team pictures before the game:

Jamie sent me this picture of the little girls cheering for their big sisters:

They are so cute & I cannot believe they will be playing on their own team next year!

After the game, I came straight home & got to work around the house again. This time Bryan helped but it was still a long day. We actually had tickets to a concert that night but by the time we finished our work outside, we were both exhausted so we cancelled the babysitter :( I was too lazy to cook but after we all showered, we put our pajamas on & then went to grab dinner at a local fast food place close to the house:

Ok, it might have been the same place where we always get ice cream!

It was a long 2 days working outside but we finally got everything done before the rain came:

It stormed while we were at church & we had to wait almost 30 minutes for Bryan to pick us up because it was raining so hard & everyone was waiting for their cars. We usually go out to eat for lunch on Sundays but I didn't want to get out again, so we picked something up & headed home. We weren't the only ones with that in mind because we had to wait in line for our food but I looked back & saw this:

Totally worth the wait!

We had a birthday party that afternoon followed by another meeting at the church. Whew, it was a long & busy weekend but I can officially declare that our outdoor kitchen is open for summer! I went to the store today & stocked up on meat & told Bryan I hope he is ready to start grilling out. The girls have been wanting to eat outside & now that I finally wiped off all the pollen, we can finally enjoy being outside again :)

By the way, here is a sneak peak from Sadie's party:

That's the birthday girl Grayson & she had a glamorous cowgirl party! It was so cute that it deserves a post of it's own, so I'll post those pictures later this week.
