Life Lately

I haven't done a random photo dump from my phone in the past couple of weeks, so here is what we have been up to lately!

I'll start with Sophie. We have not been to see her pediatric GI doctor since January so she had a follow up appointment last week:

We tried weaning her off of her digestive medicine back then & she could not handle it so she has been on medicine every day since then. But the good news is that we tried again & she is doing much better! For the past week I have only given her medicine every other day & so far she has not gotten sick & her appetite has remained the same! I have been on pins & needles all week hoping that she wouldn't vomit! Our goal is too stay like this through the end of the year & when she turns 3 in December we will try to cut the medicine completely. I pray that it works this time!

While Sadie went to her cheerleading clinic last weekend, Bryan took Sophie on a morning date to go get donuts & apparently they had a great time:

Speaking of cheerleading, we had Kenzie over for a play date last week before the cheer clinic & that's all they talked about. They asked me to turn on music so they could practice their cheer & dance moves:

In case you are wondering, yes, that is Sadie trying to do the splits!

After the cheer clinic, Sadie had soccer pictures:

and then we had to hang around the soccer fields until it was game time:

I still can't believe that we are already at that season in life where our Saturdays revolve around our children's extra curricular activities! Bryan took this picture of me because I was by myself with the girls at the field & I was literally carrying an ice chest, duffle bag, Sadie's soccer bag & 2 lawn chairs:

You can't see the ice chest because it was on my back but I was snack mom that day. I think I look like an official soccer mom in that picture!

As soon as we got home, we had some other families over for dinner & college football that night. UT had the day off but we enjoyed seeing one of Bryan's fraternity brothers & the girls had fun playing with his son Ben:

The next morning at church Sadie asked if I would take a picture of her inside Noah's Ark:

They had the children's area decorated & that's what they learned about that morning.

The girls have spent a lot of time outside since it is finally cooling off a little:

And I have noticed that it is getting darker at night which is making bed time much easier:

It's harder to make the girls go to sleep in the summer when it's still sunny at 8:00 at night, but here lately it is already dark by 8:00 & I am loving it!

So much more has happened in the past couple of weeks & I can't document every thing, but I really do enjoy looking back at these little moments of time & remembering what happened in our every day lives :)
