What can I say, it is the middle of summer & our weekend revolved around pool parties! Saturday, some friends had a surprise party for Jenny, one of Bryan's friends from UT. They are a group we love getting together with but we don't see them often. The girls had so much fun playing with the older kids all day, especially Haylee & Rylee:
Yes, there were a few boys there but mostly Sadie followed the big girls around. She thought it was pretty cool that she could keep up with them in the pool:
Sophie was with them, she just preferred to stay on the tanning ledge or on the side of the pool, like she normally does:
Sure started out as a beautiful day but the weather quickly surprised us & we had some bad storms roll though. Literally, one of the deck umbrellas flew off & knocked one of the kids down :( So we spent part of the afternoon inside eating, visiting & playing until the storms blew over. Sophie kept going inside & outside so I finally took her swim diaper off so she could stay inside also but she refused to take her bathing suit top off:
So she ran around like this the rest of the day! That's ok, she sure is a cutie so everyone thought she was adorable :) Jenny even celebrated her birthday cake with her:
That girls is definitely a diva. Someone took a picture of her at the party because she kept sneaking in, climbing up in the kitchen & getting food:
Seriously, she is always posing!
The clouds never really went away, but the kids got to swim again once the lightening & thunder went away. It might have been sprinkling but that didn't bother them:
Nor the guys:
They endured the sprinkles & the wind to play a game of Kan Jam while the kids took turns playing in the mud & jumping back in the pool. We ended up spending the entire day out there because we had so much fun! Happy Birthday Jenny!
On Sunday, we had some friends over for a smaller pool party & it was just as fun but this time there was not a cloud in sight:
It was definitely hot outside but that didn't stop us from grilling out & swimming with the Thompson family. The girls adore Amelia & Ella also - basically anyone who is older than they are:
We had fun watching them jump off the grotto but apparently I need to work on my picture taking skills because I had a hard time catching them mid-jump in the air:
It was a fun & exhausting weekend for these girls!
