Weekend Wrap Up

We had a fun weekend but it kind of seemed busy so I feel like we are starting the week off tired!

Friday night, we surprised Sadie & took her on a date to Hawaiian Falls:

It is a local water park that is only 10 minutes from our house. We haven't taken the girls to an official water park yet, so she was excited. The church rented it from 6:00 - 10:00 to celebrate our last day of VBS. It was awesome & definitely the best way to do it. It wasn't super hot since it was at night, we knew a ton of people there & there were no lines so Sadie literally got to ride as much as she wanted! I put all of our stuff in a locker so this is literally the only picture I got, but this girl is so brave & went down every single slide there, except for 3 of them & that's only because she wasn't tall enough. We left Sophie at home with a babysitter since she wasn't old enough to do the big stuff yet.

Saturday morning was lazy. Bryan had to do a few things at work so the girls went to the grocery store with me:

and helped me get ready for our friends to come over that afternoon. We swam with the kids & Bryan cooked out - it was a perfect family day. The girls had fun with their boys & we enjoyed visiting with friends we don't see often:

Can you tell who took the picture of the adults?!

Sunday we celebrated Father's Day just the 4 of us & it was perfect. The girls woke Bryan up with home made gifts they actually made at school about a month ago that I have been holding on to. Then we went to church & lunch:

I made reservations at Fireside Pies, which is one of Bryan's favorite restaurants. We were equally surprised when we walked in & were seated next to one of Bryan's best friends from college, Jenny:

That's obviously not Jenny! That's her husband, Tony. It was a fun surprise seeing them & then Sadie said "Mommy, that's my friends from school!". Sure enough, I turned around & it was another family we knew.

Bryan surprised the girls & took us to the movies last night to see Finding Dory:

Sophie didn't do as good this time but both of them really liked the movie. They pretty much are obsessed with anything that has to do with the ocean. Think we brain washed them?!

Finally, Sadie decided that she needed to go camping last night:

Guess this is the Dodson way of camping - sleeping on nicely carpeted floor in your fancy sleeping bag with your princess nightgown on :) She woke up this morning & declared it the best night sleep ever. She might just sleep on the floor all week long!
