Meet the Teacher

Before we headed out of town for Labor Day weekend, we took the girls to meet their teachers at pre-school. Sonshine Academy was first so we went to Sadie's class room to meet:

Her name is kind of hard to say so we call her Mrs. C. Sadie was so excited when we got there because 5 of the kids from her class last year were in there - 4 girls & 1 boy, 2 of the girls are ones that we had play dates with all summer. As soon as we walked in, they all shouted her name as she looked for her spot to sit:

They stayed for 30 minutes with the teacher while we met with the Director of the pre-school in the auditorium. Afterwards, we went back to meet her teacher & check our her classroom. I got really excited being in there because you can tell right away that she is going to learn so much more this year! I loved seeing all of the curriculum & activities on the wall. I noticed that each child had an incentive chart:

I am curious to see how she does with this :) I also noticed all of the students birthdays on the wall:

She is considered an older 3, but as you can tell, she is the youngest in her class. Before we left, I asked if we could get a picture of her with Mrs. C & her best friend Ellie wanted to be in the picture too:

When we left Sadie's class, we walked over to the other side of the building for Sonshine School where we found Sophie's class:

She is in the exact same classroom Sadie was in, but she has different teachers. Her 2 main teachers are Mrs. Adell & Mrs. Moss, while their Teacher Assistant is Mrs. Manns. Apparently Mrs. Adell taught next door to Sadie so she remembered her & recognized me. And Mrs. Manns was the TA for Sadie so we know her well:

Sophie was a little hesitant because she thought we were dropping her off, but as soon as she realized that she was staying, she had no problems running around & playing:

We are fortunate we know 2 of the kids in her class & 1 of them is our neighbor KJ who has an older sister Sadie's age:

As you can see, the big sisters were big helpers. Sadie even showed Sophie where to put her backpack & nap mat:

I can hardly believe these 2 are finally going to school together. Sadie has loved being at Sonshine for the past 2 years & I have a strong feeling Sophie is going to love it as well.
