Sadie has learned some new tricks lately & I thought I would share in her happenings. First, she has learned how to flush the toilet. I was blow drying my hair in the bathroom when I heard something - I turned around in time to see Sadie flushing the toilet multiple times. She thought it was hilarious! Who knew that would be so much fun?!
Earlier this week I was taking a bath. I had the door to my bedroom shut so Sadie was going back & forth from the bedroom & bathroom playing. This is going on while Bryan is on the other side of the house working in his office. The next thing I know, he is running into our bedroom, makes Daisy bark, Sadie cry & then leaves. Apparently, she is old enough to reach the telephone & while I didn't notice she had picked it up, turned it on & started talking on it. Normally this would have been cute - but not when Bryan is on a conference call!
I almost embarrassed to admit the next one, but proud at the same time. Sadie is great at going up the stairs, but has never really learned to go down. I have tried to show her how several times, but she has never shown any interest. I guess it was a bad habit on our part because we would just carry her down every time. Well, I finally decided when she turned 17 months old that this was ridiculous - she is almost 1 1/2 years old & she has been walking for almost 5 months now! So, I have been forceful with her the last 2 weeks & I am proud to say that our little girl can now safely go up & down on her own! The majority of the time she does unless she is really tired or I am running late & I don't have time to wait :) I tried to video her the other day, but she always seems to clam up when I turn the camera on.....
And finally, we have a new hair do in our house these days:
Pigtails! Her hair is finally long enough to pull back, so we have been wearing it like this lately. We have had to practice because at first she didn't understand them :)
