Any guesses what that might be?
Have you figured it out yet? If not, here's another clue....
That's right - Sadie is not wearing her helmet anymore! About 2 weeks ago she learned how to take it off herself. She was pretty good about not messing with it during the day, but every time we put her in her crib (both nap time & bed time) she would take it off. We first discovered it when I heard banging coming from her bedroom during her afternoon nap. She had taken her helmet off & was beating it against the wall! Since that day this has become a regular occurrence & when she is finished playing, she throws it out of the crib.
On Wednesday when I picked her up from MOPS, her teacher asked me if I knew that she could take off her helmet, because apparently she took it off & was throwing it across the room. And over the last couple of days, she has become more aggressive in trying to remove it & yesterday was finally our breaking point. I put it on her several times & each time she would take it right off a few minutes later. In fact, we were working/playing in the yard yesterday & I heard something so when I turned around I noticed it was her helmet blowing across the driveway because she had taken it off & thrown it again!
I guess I shouldn't gripe because she has worn it for 8 months without resistance, but since she has obviously decided that she doesn't want to wear it anymore, we are not going to make her :) So today was our big debut:
She was the talk of the nursery at church because everyone noticed she didn't have her helmet on. I thought she looked so sweet & more like a toddler. Although now I have to figure out how to fix her hair since I haven't had much practice!
