Bryan works from home most of the time, but with his new job, he has an office in Addison that he goes to occasionally. He mainly drives in for meetings. One of the perks of him going into the office, is the daycare that is also there. We just learned recently that his company has a backup daycare that be used anytime help is needed with your children. It is not a normal daycare when you can bring you child everyday, so sometimes there are a lot of children, other times, only a few. Last week Bryan & I went to visit the facility, take a tour & meet the staff. We were thoroughly impressed so I did all of the paperwork so we could register her just in case. Luckily I did because yesterday we used it for the first time! I volunteered at a golf tournament all day & Bryan just happened to be driving into the office for the day. Most of our family babysitters work during the week & our high school babysitters were in school :) I left early yesterday morning so Bryan took care of her morning routine & then packed her up for daycare! Apparently she cried for a few minutes when he dropped her off, but after that she did great! There was only 1 other baby there so she got a lot of attention. They found a purse for her to carry around (which is right up her alley) and she found a lot of balls that she liked playing with.
The highlight of the day was when her Dad came to visit:
He surprised her by having a lunch date with her. They supply all of the food & snacks as well. I heard she loved her chicken strip & spent most of her lunch placing her food in & out of her bowl. We don't usually give her a plate or a bowl, so this was probably a first for her :) After lunch, Bryan slipped back up to his office for the afternoon while she napped. I got a good report from the daycare & Bryan, so I assume I will be sending her again sometime! Maybe next time I will plan a day for myself so I can get a few things done without her.......
