Sunny Days

This week has been beautiful weather but it has been really windy, until today. I have tried to take Sadie outside the past couple of afternoons, but it was too chilly for her to play. I found it fitting that today was beautiful since it is March 1. I love spring so I am enjoying the sun with no wind! And my irises have started to bloom - the first of the season! I am sure we will still have winter weather later in March, but for now, we tried to take advantage of it. I took Sadie to the neighborhood park this morning & she was soaking up the sunshine as much as her mom! She ran straight to the swings first:

 

You know this is a past time of hers since she has been swinging since last spring/summer!

 

 She also discovered the mulch:

 

 

She kind of had a hard time walking on it since it is uneven, but when she fell down, she found another surprise - mulch is fun to play with! I didn't really want her getting dirty, but I guess I have to suck it up because that's what kids do - even little girls!

 

Finally, she has really learned how to tackle the playground. I cannot believe that she can crawl, climb & walk all the way to the top & go down the slide by herself.

 

 

Granted, I haven't let her do the big slide by herself yet, but she can handle the little one. She likes the big one also, as long as she rides down in Mommy's lap :)

 

I hope Spring continues to bloom as we move forward into March! Although, I will be realistic & wait to plant new flowers until April......
