On The Road Again.....

That's right, my sidekick & I have been traveling back & forth by car & by plane for the past 2 weeks. It sure is fun to have a constant travel companion by your side when your husband can't always make it!

We started by going to my parent's house for a long weekend away. My sister was going to be there with her kids so I thought it would be fun for Sadie to play with her cousins. And see her grandparents, of course!

As soon as we got in to town, Kason was waiting for us so we spent the rest of the day outside in the back yard & on the back porch. We played baseball:

Maybe I should clarify, Kason played tee ball with Doc & his Mom while Sadie pulled his wagon around full of baseballs!

Of course there is always yard work to do at Mimi & Doc's house:

Kason was even gracious enough to share his gardening tools with Sadie:

They also fed the squirrels:

Poor Zoe wants to play so bad but she isn't quite big enough yet. Instead she got to sit in Granny's lap outside:

and play in her new swing that Sadie let her borrow:

On Saturday morning, we all jumped in Mimi & Doc's bed to watch cartoons. Unfortunately, everyone in our house is an early riser except for Sadie, so we try to keep quiet while that little girl gets her beauty rest. For those who don't know, she still sleeps until 9:00 most days.

My Dad had to work that day so we decided to surprise him. Kason was super excited because Doc's work is on a lot of land with animals every where - cows, horses, goats, etc. We all loaded up on their 4 wheeler/tractor (I can't remember what Kason kept calling it.....) & got a tour.

Since this ride has 2 rows of seats, we all piled on. My Mom & I were on the back with the little girls while Natalie set up front with the boys. I'm pretty sure Natalie got some good pictures of our adventure. I was too busy holding on tight to Sadie Kate because I was afraid she was going to fall off! When we weren't cruising around, Sadie was running around. Her new found form of freedom was too enticing by all the open space for her to roam!

Later that night, my parents had some of their friends over for a party. These are all couples that we grew up going to church with, so it was fun visiting with them & I'm pretty sure they enjoyed seeing all of our kiddos, especially since most of them are grandparents as well.

It was actually Max's birthday that weekend, so we had to celebrate his big day!

It might have been Max's big day, but I think someone else may have helped steal all of the attention:

That's right - the newest addition to the Clayton Crew - Isn't she too adorable?!

And who could resist one more group shot of the Maddux grand kids:

We had such a fun weekend & Sadie loves playing with her cousins!
