Yesterday Sadie & I spent the day at the Arboretum with friends & it was a beautiful fall day! I have only been there in the Spring, but I have to admit that I may have liked it better this time of year. There were more pumpkins than I have ever seen & some were creatively displayed. Of course I took full advantage & took a photo shoot with my own little pumpkin:
We strolled through pumpkin village & saw several cottages made of pumpkins:
We even saw some of the biggest pumpkins we have ever seen, which made it perfect for her to climb all over them.
We also met up with friends while we were there for a picnic. I was really excited to see Nat & both of her boys Andy & Jackson. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see much of them because of traffic & parking issues. Next year we will remember not to go the week of Halloween...... I didn't get a picture of Jackson but I snapped a quick photo of Andy because he was so sweet to Sadie:
We also met up with Jamie & her sister Jill, who brought all 3 of their kiddos. Sadie had a blast playing in the hay with them! I tried to get a group picture of them but they were too busy for that....
This was our last resort - the only way we could get all 4 to stay still for 1 picture!
Sadie loved the hay & lucky for me she didn't try to eat it! She crawled all over the place & tried to climb every pumpkin she could find.
We had such a good time that I think we will make this an annual tradition! Maybe Bryan can join us next year because he would have loved seeing Sadie in action!
