Father's Day 2026 - Toca Social

The girls left for camp this week, so we decided to surprise Bryan & celebrate Father's Day early. He had been traveling for business last week & he didn't fly home until Saturday morning so when he got home, we surprised him with brunch. His favorite of course - cinnamon rolls & bacon! Last year we spent the day together & went to Pop Stroke so this year we decided to try somewhere new, which happens to be very relevant to what is going on in the world right now:

Have you ever heard of it?! It is a bar/restaurant/game experience, kind of like Top Golf, but for soccer instead. I know both of the girls like soccer & I figured they would be playing all of the world cup games & they were. Everyone has soccer fever at the moment!

We got set up at our booth upstairs & they ordered fun mocktails & can nachos to snack on:

Then we got to work! You upload your picture on the computer & build your profile. You even get to choose beginner, intermediate or hard. They have several games to play so we took our time working through them:

Basically, you kick the ball at the screen & you score points for hitting objects. I was horrible at it! Literally, I have never played soccer a day in my life. I have watched a lot of soccer over the past 10 years & I can pass the ball & do a few skills, but I haven't really kicked the ball & it hurt! Clearly, I was kicking it wrong because my toe was hurting. I may have switched & started picking up the balls & throwing them at the screen instead. Ha! This girl dominated & showed off for all of us:

In fact, she won most of the games. You'll notice Bryan & I didn't even make the board!

As we were walking out, Sophie was so excited because her name was at the top of the leaderboard for one of the games for the whole venue:

Overall, it was a fun afternoon! I really liked the venue - the ambiance, the food & drinks, etc. I would totally go back with friends or with a team, but next time I'll just cheer for everyone else while they play.
