I usually don't write an entire post just dedicated to Mother's Day, but we had such a great day & took so many pictures, that I thought I would share. I woke up to a few surprises - food & flowers! My family knows me so well. Bryan snuck out early & picked up DF/GF donuts at the only shop in town who happens to make them on the weekend:
I know, they look more like dessert, right?! And the flowers were an orchid and it is beautiful! We'll see how long it lasts, because I have had 1 before & couldn't keep it for the long run:
At church they gave each woman a little goodie bag, which was a fun surprise:
Of course our church always has a photo back drop so we had to take a family picture:
We had reservations at The Glen, which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants in Frisco. Bryan & I have been here several times, but we had never brought the girls. It is very girlie place & I knew they would have fun taking pictures:
Told you - lots of pictures! Besides the ambiance, they have an aerial artist that performs. Usually it's later on weekend nights, which is why the girls haven't seen it, but they said there would be performances for Mother's Day and the girls were definitely surprised:
They are also super flexible with their menu to accommodate our allergen requests. Sophie really wanted the truffle fries & of course they are in a shared fryer, but they have an air fryer in the back so they could make ours separately. Sadie was excited to have a mocktail & then she was surprised when they brought her tray of shrimp:
And these 2 - they went all in gluten & got the fried chicken & churros. It looked so good:
After lunch, it stormed all afternoon, so we came home, got comfy & watched movies all night. It was literally the perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day!
