Hualalai, The Big Island - Part 3

After celebrating the 4th of July, we spent a few days just relaxing at the resort. I was really excited that a celebrity personal trainer was at the resort for the holiday & was giving free classes:

Of course, I signed Bryan & I up for all of them & we both loved them! I was a little nervous how hard it would be, but he was really personable, easy to talk to, ask questions & we learned quite a bit. If only we could work out with him every week! Most of our classes were inside the aerobic gym but my favorite was outside in the amphitheater:

He even had a surprise cold plunge for us at the end of our final class:

I ran literally every single morning because the weather was perfect & there was an awesome boardwalk along the ocean. Who wants to be stuck inside using equipment when you can be active outside in nature?! Sadie even ran a few days but the girls mostly slept in. One morning they met us & we played some basketball:

Usually they would just meet us at brunch, which was amazing. We had the breakfast buffet & the view couldn't have been better:

We took turns sitting at the pool & the beach but either way, we had fun being lazy, reading books, playing with friends, having drinks or shaved ice:

Sadie spent more time in the ocean than Sophie did. She also spent more time snorkeling at King's Pond. I don't think Sophie ever went in there......

Did I mention we had a lot of drinks? They are just too pretty not to take pictures of!

Did I mention that they had game tables everywhere? Ping Pong, shuffle board, foosball - I think Sophie spent more time playing games than she did in the water:

They even had a game room by the kids club & she snuck in there a few times also:

Saturday night we had dinner at the resort & Sunday night they had a family movie night outside in the amphitheater under the stars:

Bryan might have snuck a few naps in while all 3 of us girls were getting ready each night:

Monday night, we went to the Polynesian Luau:

They had activities for us to do before, then it was a buffet, followed by the performance:

The girls made Hawaiian cards to take home:

and we made flowers for our hair:

Sadie actually took this sunset picture & it is one of my favorites from the trip!

I have been to several luau's & it never gets old. I really enjoy their performances:

It was another wonderful evening & we still have a week left to go so bear with me as I continue to post pictures from our tropical escape. Tuesday morning, we got a rental car & finally left the property so we have more to come.....
