Last weekend, we celebrated Sadie's 13th birthday:
Her big day was on Sunday but we had a busy weekend with her Griffin basketball & Renegades soccer tournament. Thankfully we had storms blow in Saturday night so her soccer games were cancelled on Sunday so we could have a normal day with her. We went to church & the 7th grade had a Christmas party afterwards:
Then we took her to her favorite restaurant & ice cream shop to celebrate:
Followed by presents at home:
But the real celebration happened this past weekend. Friday night she invited 4 of her closest friends over for a party. I took them downtown Dallas where we booked a private party at the Lip Lab:
The girls got to choose what they wanted to make - lib balm, sugar scrub, lipstick, lip gloss, etc. and then they got to choose the fragrance, the packaging - it was a pretty neat process:
Finally, after they named their product, they got to etch it on the container:
When we finished at the Lip Lab, we walked down to The Local Eatery for dinner:
and then we headed home to open presents & have the girls sleepover:
Sadie decided this year instead of a cake she wanted ice cream sundaes:
We had a great weekend, 2 great weekends in fact celebrating our teenager! I cannot believe she is 13 but we are so glad we got to celebrate with her friends.
