Mommy & Me Braiding

For years, I have been saying that I wish someone would teach a braiding class for those of us who don't know how to braid & finally, I found one! I mean I know how to do a simple braid, but I never really knew how to do a proper french braid. Thankfully my mom & my sister can, so every time we are with them, they braid the girls hair & they leave it in for days. I've tried to watch you tube videos, but that didn't help. I needed one on one teaching. Thank goodness Jamie found a class for us because we had fun & I actually learned how to do it! There is a place in town called the Cherry Blow Dry Bar & they offered a Mommy & Me Braiding class one evening where we all had our own spot at the bar with everything we needed. We had so much fun all practicing on each other:

Sophie didn't quite learn how to braid, but she had fun playing beauty shop. This was the hairstyle she gave me - ha!

I wouldn't say I am a pro by any means, but I definitely understand how to do it now & I think the more I do it, the better it will get. So far, I have only tried a single french braid down the middle & 2 side french braids, so maybe if I can perfect those I will try to learn more:

Thanks Jamie for letting me know about the class! We may have been a little uncertain of what we were doing that night, but in the long run, I think it has paid off!
