Branson, Part 4 - Silver Dollar City

On Wednesday morning, we headed out for our biggest adventure of the week:

Thankfully this was only 2 miles from our lake house so we drove past it several times. It's kind of hard to see because it's hidden with all of the trees & the hills but I had heard it was worth taking the kids to. At first, no one wanted to go but the 4 of us & then the morning of, Braxton decided he wanted to join us:

It was in the 90's so it was definitely hot out there, but since there were trees everywhere, there was plenty of places to rest in the shade. And they let you bring in food & drinks so we even saved money packing a picnic. We rode a ton of rides & I'm pretty sure the pictures speak for themselves:

These 2 were on the same wavelength so they spent a lot of time riding together, especially on the children's rides:

Sadie on the other hand is a thrill seeker. She will ride anything & everything she is tall enough for! In fact, she had to ride this one by herself, because it was the 1 ride I didn't really care for:

Other than that, I rode quite a bit because Bryan has a harder time with motion sickness the older he gets:

So that first picture pretty much sums up my day. They made me take my hat off or wear it backwards on every single ride. Ugh. That is harder & more annoying for girls! And the second picture was our last ride of the day. Sadie had never done a full upside down loop yet & we conquered the best rollercoaster there. It starts out with a full drop that goes into 4 loops, all while spinning the entire ride! We LOVED it! Another favorite was the water ride. We had no idea how wet we would get but we were soaked! Which honestly felt good since it was so hot out there:

It's an interactive ride where you have water guns to shoot spectators but the surprise was actually on us because we didn't know there were guns hidden outside of the ride so everyone else was actually shooting us too! The difference is, we were stuck on the boat & couldn't go anywhere whereas they could run away. So Bryan & I came up with a plan to let the kids go another round while we hid on the outside & declared water war on them:

There were shows all day so we heard & saw a lot while we walked around but the only one we stopped in was the Harlem Globetrotters. We all loved their show & got to stay afterwards for pictures & autographs:

And how could we end the day without splurging on a sweet treat?

One of the reasons we brought our lunch is since Sadie & I are gluten free, it's hard to eat at places like this anymore. But we couldn't turn down an ice cold slushee in the heat of the afternoon!

We had the best day & literally closed the park down. We all had so much fun, everyone tried something new & it was another great way to explore Branson!
