1st Grade Spring Field Trip - Sharkarosa Ranch

Earlier this week, Sadie's 1st grade class got to go on their spring field trip to:

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch. It is located about 30 minutes North of us so the kids were so excited to ride the school buses. We have actually been here one time, but it was while I was pregnant with Sophie & Sadie wasn't even 2 years old yet so of course she didn't remember it. As soon as we got there, we got separated into groups. Our group consisted of Sadie & 2 of her classroom besties: Vivi & Maggie:

We got to spend a couple of hours walking around & looking at animals in their habitats:

The kids loved the monkeys! They were so entertaining:

They also had fun watching the kangaroos jumping around & playing with each other:

Next up, we went on a safari ride where we saw all sorts of random animals:

On our way out of the safari, we ran into camels:

They had feeding buckets on the side of our safari tram so the camels came right up to us & let us pet them:

Same with the horses:

After our safari ride, we took a lunch break:

And then they had 30 minutes of free time which included running around, playing at the park, going to the petting zoo & riding a train:

As you can see, we had perfect weather. Actually, it was pretty hot! We got up to 90 degrees this week but we were just thankful for the sunshine. My job was easy because these girls did great. They even came up with a name & little cheer for their group: Adventure Girls!

I just enjoyed tagging along & getting to see my little social butterfly in action. Cheers to the adventure girls!
