Nights at Sea 2019

We may have had lazy days, but we always had busy nights. We were pretty much ready by 6:00 every night to head to the evening show. The first night was the Golden Mickeys & it was also our formal night. We had planned the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on this day so the kids would be "fancy" for that night. First up, pictures on the red carpet:

Followed by more pictures in the atrium:

After our day in Cozumel, we let the guys skip the show while the girls took the kids to see Mary Poppins Returns:

Most of the little kids fell asleep but the older girls loved it! We usually go to the movies over the holidays but I specifically waited because I thought why pay for it when we can see it for free on the cruise?!

The next night, we went to Animator's Palate & they surprised us with a short show during dinner & an appearance from Mickey:

Dinners are one of my favorite parts of the cruise. First of all, Disney does it right & the dinners are pretty good. And it's all inclusive so you could order whatever you want. We all took advantage & ordered multiple entrees & lots of desserts. I mean seriously, there were nights when I would order 3 desserts all to myself! The kids had ice cream Mickey bars every single night:

We were spoiled & had the best servers with us all week - Omar & Mardika. They were especially great with the kids. They cut their food, always had their favorite drinks, poured their ketchup, but the best part was the magic tricks they had for them every night:

They would finish early every night & head to the kids club while we finished our meal in peace. Another favorite for me! Afterwards, we even got to sneak down to the Cadillac Lounge & listen to live music while they played in the club:

We loved our late nights out without children! And they loved it too. They thought it was so cool that they got to stay up until midnight :)

And when we got back to our room, they were excited to eat their piece of chocolate that was left for them at turndown & to see what towel animal was waiting for them:

And the bunk beds. They were literally fighting over the bunk beds before we even left for the cruise!

Our last night there, I surprised the girls & made hair appointments for them to get their hair braided:

It's kind of like a souvenir - they love going home & leaving the braids in for a while so they can show their friends:

Our last meal was at Animator's Palate. This time they had the place mats set up for us to draw our own character:

Then they had a show where our characters came to life & danced for us during dinner. It really is so cool!

We enjoyed our last meal together:

Ending with Mickey bars, of course! Then we headed to the atrium for the farewell party where we got to see all of the characters one more time, especially Captains Minnie & Mickey Mouse:

As you can see, we had an awesome time. The Disney cruise really is a lot of fun. The customer service is fantastic, the food is better than you expect & we loved going with friends. I know the girls had an awesome time, but as we left they said, "Next time we want to go back to the park where we can ride some rides!" Point taken. Not sure when we will do Disney again but it has been fun at all ages so far!
